Session Abstract

With applications moving to the cloud, there are new pressures on the database layer to adapt. Traditional databases scale up by throwing bigger hardware at the problem. This approach works well in a data center, but falls down in the cloud.

MongoDB is an open source database that is optimized for the cloud. This talk will discuss the challenges of moving a database to the cloud and the new architectural approaches that make this move feasible, high performance and cost effective.
