Session Details

Location: Washington Room
Session Abstract
Most IT organizations within the healthcare industry now use server virtualization. Recent polls indicate the majority of these will eventually transition into a private/hybrid cloud and the delivery of IT-as-a-Service. Although the journey from virtualization to the cloud can seem complicated and overwhelming, it is a path well-traveled by many organizations, including our healthcare customers. This session will leverage case studies and real world lessons gathered over the past seven years to illustrate the journey, pitfalls and success criteria for healthcare data centers making the transition from virtualization to the cloud. In addition, the presentation will share information on virtualization management and cloud automation.
