Healthcare organizations are facing exponential data and application growth and increasingly complex access requirements driven in part by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Healthcare IT staffs are responsible for delivering mission-critical applications to all end users and in a fast, secure, scalable and cost efficient manner. IT teams need to configure their networks and communications strategies to deliver optimal performance for each application and cloud solutions for PACS management, EHRs, mHealth and many other critical tools are becoming the most logical answer. With the ever-changing regulatory environment, rapid technology advancements, and mounting cost pressures investing in a secure, scalable and agile communications infrastructure has never been more important. </p> <p>Co-presented with Maggie Chan Jones, Senior Vice President, North America Marketing, Level 3 Communications</p> <p>As head of marketing for the North America region at Level 3 Communications, Maggie and her team are responsible for defining the regional market segment strategy, creating customer-focused marketing campaigns, and driving return on marketing investments to deliver financial results.</p> <p>Before joining Level 3, Maggie spent over seven years at Microsoft Corporation. School based telehealth care is a relatively new modality for delivering care to the most vulnerable members of our communities: children. Rural areas have many barriers to overcome in terms of healthcare, with one of the barriers being lack of primary care providers and specialty care providers. In Georgia, over the past 15 year, initializing school based health centers has been difficult. With the introduction of telemedicine as a part of the school based health clinic, Georgia has moved from two clinics to 16 in 3 years and will be in over 41 schools by the end of 2013. These clinics are utilizing telemedicine as a way to provide care. This panel will teach you the steps in conceptualizing and implementing a school based telehealth center in your school system. You will walk away with a road map that can be cultivated to your community&#039;s needs.</p> </div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-keywords field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Keywords:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/tags/school" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">School</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/tags/telehealth" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">TeleHealth</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/tags/telemedicine" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Telemedicine</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/tags/mhealth" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">mHealth</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/taxonomy/term/341" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">access</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/tags/impact" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Impact</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-spfname field-type-text field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Speaker First Name:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even">Matthew</div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-splname field-type-text field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Speaker Last Name:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even">Jansen</div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-jobtitle field-type-text field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Speaker Job Title:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even">Executive Director</div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-company field-type-text field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Speaker&#039;s Company Name/Affiliation:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even">Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth</div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-bio field-type-text-long field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Speaker Bio:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even">Matt Jansen - Executive Director - Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth, Inc. has over 15 years experience in community planning, program, and resource development.
